Filler

4:00 ??
4:35 WHY??
4:41 THEY'RE FULL ON BRAWLING WHAT IS GOING ON!?!??? LITERAL VIOLENCE
4:48 WHY DOES HE LOOK GENUINELY ANGRY ISN'T THIS FAKE????
5:17 They're so surprised he would even apologize
5:30 HE DID NOT HAVE TO DO ALL THAT!!! Like he could've just said that stuff himself instead of starting a fight and making Ayumi say it like what???? He did not have to make that physical!! Dude just wanted an excuse to fistfight the kids or something

10:04 And not the others??? He could've at least SAID SOMETHING, instead of grabbing her
11:14 THEY COULD'VE GOTTEN LOST AND DIED!! DOES HE NOT CARE??

What is even going on man, losing my mind I tell you

21:15 Why are literally children trying to solve this death trap filled riddle??

My god this has gotta be one of the most insane ones yet. It was nice at the end tho, even if there are many things wrong with that man

23:15 IT WHAT??

23:37 ???? What was that about???? Legitimately??

23:31 He made the death trap filled riddle for CHILDREN!??!!

Part 2

so to me that 'fit of fisticuffs' was Conan's way of manipulating the two boys to 'fight it out' and get their blood pumping and shake the DBC out of their 'collective funk'. sort of a 'throwback moment' to the early days of the DBC. :D

as to the yarn? hahahah! those kids had TIME to unravel four machine knit sweaters and make that huge ball of yarn!?! throughout these two episodes i was wondering why the DBC clothing designs were brand spanking new. even Ayumi AND :o Haibara! :o (no :D !squee! :D fan comment about a DBD WITH Haibara in it this time?) hahah! (you're slipping! ;> ) was wearing something textured to kinda-sorta look like a sweater. they only had 9 hours left to go and they're going to sit around unraveling those sweaters? :D hahaha! :D

i was 50% right about the secretary dude! he wasn't the illegitimate heir, but the HUSBAND of one of the heirs! in Japan, it is uncommon today but men CAN marry into their WIFE'S HOUSEHOLD! and take HER NAME! in ye olden days of Japan when a man had no inheritance of his own, especially the poorest of the poor nobility, a son could find himself a better family. by marrying a daughter of a more prosperous one. he would leave his own family's name behind and be adopted via marriage by his wife's parents. many noble families who didn't have a male heir found 'second and third sons' of other noble houses. those houses who didn't have enough land or income to divide amongst their kids other than the eldest son. so it was kind of a win-win for the girl's family to get a 'son-in-law' and the guy's family didn't have to support a 'useless son'.

i liked the riddle reveal at the end. problem is,dude was her dad. all the other 16 heirs failed! that makes his daughter 17th right? i can't even remember her placement. so. as her dad, why didn't he just solve Part1 for her and the DBC? SHE'S A MINOR AND A TINY CHILD! all her inheritance would be HIS to control and 'take care of' till she reached the age Japan would legally let her inherit it all. probably 20 years old. IF he had solved part 1 at 9pm when the riddle was first spoken DBC could have: spent 3 hours prepping to get inside the 'angel' at midnight, think about part 2, find the crystal, get outside, AND IT WOULD STILL BE DARK! they then would have ALL THE REST OF THE NIGHT to figure out the spotlight/shadow trick and bla bla bla happily ever after. :D

Omg that finally makes sense 😭 I forgot about how confrontational the detective boys used to be, that bit was so jarring to me

YEAH I remember thinking something about how they unwound their shirts so quickly but I guess I forgot by the time I got to the end lol

Essay-san Strikes Again! Part 1

DBC Royal Rumble 2005! sunday sunday SUNDAY! get your tickets now! the biggest cage match of the year will commence! the brains! the brawn! the bumbler! DBC's testosterone trio will throw down in a no-holds-barred brawl! sunday sunday SUNDAY!

:> must have been a very very long time since you had to deal with boys that age. they're either screamingly insane brawling all the time with intermittent peace between them... or they're not really good friends. friend of mine raised five boys and was the only girl with five older brothers and she claims that her whole life.... about less than 1% of it was spent quietly hanging out with her families.

i'm just surprised Genta isn't a bullying huge pile of shit anymore. i guess the TV networks and anime studio and manga publisher and mangaka finally got sick of all the Parent Teacher Associations and moms n stuff bitching at them and mellowed the huge monster out a ton. when i first heard rumors and read discussions online back in the 1990's after Conan's manga started trickling through the US 'otaku-web' and the anime came out; that was the #1 post i can recall about Conan on the BBS and Yahoo!Groups pages... Genta used to be the quintessential 'big dumb jock' that threw his weight around and beat up or intimidated everybody around him to get what he wanted. none of the US fans i knew back then could STAND Genta! he was nigh on universally LOATHED! :> before Shin came around as Conan, Genta was the 'big fish in a tiny pond' in their Elementary School class. Conan's only real role in their class for a good number of chapters was outsmarting Genta and 'intellectually manipulating' the rolly-poly numbskull. i guess you could say the 'original version of the DBC' was the... hmmm comic relief in the Conan manga from all the murder cases etc. with Kogoro, Ran, and Shin. the DBC 'cases' were mostly centered around Conan being the genius and outsmarting Genta in some way to 'solve the kiddy case' for that chapter. i guess Conan was 'Popeye' and Genta was 'Brutus/Bluto'.

Damn conan and friends did waste their time in this episode in this episode but the cult rip wasn’t hard considering that guy is the only person in the show

4:35 First time in the series so far where Conan becomes just straight-up violent and outwardly belligerent for no reason, dude literally charges head-first into Genta's stomach like what the hell? Imagine Shinichi's 17 yo ass doing this; and they're satisfied with Conan's half-hearted two-second apology later on. The closest we came to this before was in Episode 386 where Conan was struggling to keep himself from punching Kogoro in the nads.

2:51, how did they not die, that floor looks like concrete. Some of them at least should have some broken bones. 4:38, look at these little idiots lol. 5:29, Shinichi is a kind and good big brother. 7:27, so that's the reason all of them were wearing sweaters. 14:58, what if he's like secretly her suposed dead dad or something, he seems really protective of her. 19:06, oh wow I was right he was her dad. 22:38, I don't really watch the ED's often but is that a little Hattori and Kazuha running past Shinichi and Ran? That's so cute. 22:46, and the way Shinich falls over lol.

Shounen Tanteidan’s infighting was interesting. Moments like this is why I keep watching.
